George said it would be like this
Northland’s NewsCenter Meteorologist George Kessler’s (right) 4th of July forecast:
A small upper level disturbance caused a couple of clouds today, but they did nothing to mar the gorgeous feel of the day. Friday is a day off for most and the weather is going to be just about perfect across the region. Mostly sunny skies and readings in the middle 70’s will meet just about everyone’s definition of a beautiful summer day.
Saturday is also looking good, with more sunshine and highs edging into the upper 70’s.
The weather might not be as nice to conclude the weekend though. A front will sag southward from Canada on Sunday, and that may be enough to trigger scattered storms. An additional bundle of energy may kick off more thundershowers on Monday — especially across the southern half of our area. Highs both days will be in the upper 70’s or lower 80’s, with higher humidity levels than we’ll see on Friday and Saturday.
Have a great day and a safe weekend!
