A busy week of storms ahead for the Northland

June 8, 2008 · Filed Under Northland's NewsCenter Forecast · Comment

A pair of lows continue to track by the region. The one that stretches through central Wisconsin could lift north and bring Wisconsinites and U.P. folks storms and potentially heavy rain. The chance for that is 50% on Sunday afternoon and evening. The second low is coming in from the west and is bringing a 40% Sunday afternoon and evening storm chance to Minnesota. This low is being shuttled in by the Polar Jetstream and so will the next one and the next one — in rapid succession.

This means the Sunday storm chance will become a Monday storm chance and a Tuesday storm chance et cetera until next Saturday! The way we’ve been getting rain this year, last year’s drought is definitely over!
